As part of our programs, we are accompanied by all the safety equipment necessary for the practice of scuba diving, namely oxygen, first aid kit, means of communication.
Are you tempted by diving in Nusa Penida, Bali ? Here you will find all the practical information on how your diving day will unfold with the Warnakali diving center. Some of Bali’s best scuba diving sites are indeed around Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. These three islands, located in the south-east of Bali, can be reached in 45 minutes from Bali. But you will enjoy it more if you depart directly from Nusa Penida .
A driver will pick you up from your hotel to accompany you to Toyapakeh, where our Buraq 3 boat is located. All your equipment is already equipped on board the boat, with the sizes that you will have communicated to us the day before. You can also reach us directly at our Toyapakeh toko, if you prefer. After a little coffee to get to know each other, we set off on an adventure for this day or half day of diving.
The choice of diving sites is made according to the sea conditions as well as the desires and experience of each.
Choice of: 2 or 3 dives, Nitrox, night dive
We schedule 2 dives, in the morning or afternoon, or 3 for a full day. A night dive is also possible. The Nitrox diving is optional, as well as diving with tanks of 15 liters or junior tanks. Our center and its instructors are also trained in adaptive diving with divers with disabilities.
The meeting time depends on the tide times and the program of the day. But we usually leave in the morning around 8 am to arrive on site before the other boats coming from Sanur. In this case the return to Toyapakeh is usually around 1pm. In time to take a boat back to Sanur or to the Gili if this is your last day. Or to take advantage of the afternoon to visit the island of Nusa Penida .
After signing the log books, our driver will take you back to your hotel. With images and colors in your eyes!
Our playground is a fifty of dive sites at Nusa Penida . So there really is something for all tastes and all colors ! Here are the main sites.
The drift dives of the north coast of Nusa Penida: Ped, SD, Sental, Buyuk and Tugu which form an extremely vast coral plateau.
The sites along the Nusa Penida channel, with sometimes strong currents , but full of life: Toyapakeh, just below the Warnakali diving center, Gamat Bay, a vast shallow coral plateau , extended by a wall that descends to 40 meters , Amok, a technical but intense dive , below the eponymous sunset bar and Ceningan Wall, a wall rich in color that always holds many surprises in the blue .
On the north coast of Nusa Lembongan: Mangrove, a dive site is extremely complete and diverse and Blue Corner , a dive into the blue where you can meet pelagic animals.
And finally on the southwest coast of Nusa Penida: more technical sites including the legendary Batu Bolong with its abundant life and its aquatic ballets of sharks, rays and Mola Mola!
In addition to the dive sites of Nusa Penida, there are two options for diving in Bali with Warnakali.
Or during a day of 3 dives on the Gili Islands of Padang Bay, three small islets off Bali, in front of Candi Dasa: Gili Biaha , Gili Tepekong and Gili Mimpang . A special day rich in emotions and sharing.
We also organize dives in Tulamben under special circumstances . For example during diving safaris or long training courses.
The dive sites of Nusa Penida are varied enough to be able to offer exceptional moments to all divers. Whatever their level .
Most sites have setups that also accommodate different levels of experience. We nevertheless aim to build teams of a uniform level . There will be a maximum of 4 divers per group. The first scuba dives will remain for example on the plateau of Manta Point or Gamat Bay less than 12 meters deep. While certified and more experienced divers will explore the deeper wall. The gentle slope of the sites on the north coast also makes it possible to adapt the depth of the dive and to vary the pleasures.
However, some sites require a very good level of diving, such as Batu Bolong. We therefore only go there for special occasions .
Training sessions and baptisms in the swimming pool generally take place in the afternoon. We therefore prefer dives in the morning. With a return at the end of the morning or at the beginning of the afternoon in case of a day of 3 dives, or even at the end of the afternoon in case of a trip to the Gili of Padang Bay. We also sometimes do 2 dives in the morning and 2 dives in the afternoon. In the case of the night dive, the departure will be around 6 p.m. so as to take advantage of the launch at sunset. It is magic !
- pick-up at the hotel: 7:30 a.m.
- departure from the port: 8:15 am
- first dive around 9 am (depending on the site)
- surface interval with coffee or tea and fruit salad
- second dive around 11:30 am
- return to the port around 1 p.m.
- return to the hotel around 1:30 p.m.
The times may however vary depending on the tide times, depending on the sites or your constraints. If you have a boat to take to Bali or the Gili Islands, for example, we can keep your luggage in the toko and bring you back in time to catch your boat.
